Want to join the Elite?
When you're ready to prove yourself under some crushing weight, just grab a member of the fitness staff to be your spotter.
- The lifter must lie on their back with head, shoulders and buttocks in contact with the flat bench surface. Shoes MUST be FLAT on the floor. This position MUST be maintained throughout the attempt.
- The lifter may have a lift-off from a spotter/coach which MUST be taken at arms length not down at chest.
- The bar must touch the chest (or pad) then must be pressed back to the starting position without any help from the spotter. Bouncing the bar off of the chest or pad will not count.
