Kevin Workman (Owner)

DPT, ATC, ECS

Kevin is the owner of Greenbrier Valley Physical Therapy and Fitness. He is a native of Pocahontas County and earned his BS in Education from Virginia Tech and his MS in Athletic Training from Morehead State University prior to obtaining his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Baylor University. He served in the US Army following his graduation from Baylor. Kevin has over 25 years of experience in physical therapy and sports medicine. He has owned and operated GVPT since 1996 providing inpatient, outpatient, and skilled nursing coverage since that time. He is also very involved in the athletic training coverage of area schools and volunteers many hours and resources to provide these services. He is active in NATA and is a nationally certified athletic trainer. He is also board certified in Clinical Electrophysiology (ECS) becoming one of the few physical therapists in the country with this distinction.
 

James Burke (MPT)

GVPT & STPT

James earned his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy in 1997 from West Virginia University and has been with GVPT for nine years and is currently the Clinical Director at the outpatient department. He has had extensive continuing education in sacroiliac dysfunction, Travell Myofascial Pain/Trigger Points, Biomechanical Analysis/Orthotic Fitting, and Ergonomic Assessment. He is certified in FCE and job site analysis through Isernhagen Work Systems. He has made over 600 pair or custom fit orthotics to treat various lower extremity dysfunctions. A Pocahontas County native, he currently lives in Maxwelton and is an avid West Virginia Mountaineer football fan.

 

Bob Haas (DPT, ATC)

GVPT & STPT

Bob, a native of Greenbrier County, earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from West Virginia University and his Master’s Degree from UNLV in 1994. Bob spent seven years as the Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL. He returned home in 2001 to work at GVPT as the athletic trainer. In August of 2006, Bob graduated from Shenandoah University with a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy. Bob, along with Kevin Workman, provide the majority of the athletic training services to the Greenbrier County Schools athletic programs.

 

Jessica Bower (DPT)

GVMC

Jessica earned her doctorate in Physical Therapy and her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Wheeling Jesuit University. Jessica has been at GVPT since 2005 working primarily at the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center. She enjoys sports and spending time with family and friends.

 

Pixote McClung (DPT)

GVPT

Pixote earned her doctorate in Physical Therapy and her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from East Tennessee State University. She is a former college soccer player at Hollins University. Pixote joined the GVPT team in 2009 and works primarily at the outpatient clinic in Ronceverte. She and her husband, Sam McClung, attend and volunteer with the youth at Rhema Christian Center.

 

Michelle Weeks (DPT)

GVMC & Greenbrier Manor

Michelle received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Creighton University. Michelle joined Greenbrier Valley Physical Therapy in 2009. She enjoys working in all physical therapy settings and is primarily located at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center and the Greenbrier Manor.

 

Crystal Dixon Largen (MOTR/L)

Greenbrier Manor

Crystal earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Concord University in 1996. She then earned her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from West Virginia University in 1999. She is certified in kinesiotaping, functional capacity evaluation, and has a special interest in hand injuries. Cyrstal has been with GVPT since November 2000. She is married and enjoys crafts, reading, and spending time with her cats.

 

Kara Hersman (MS CF/SLP)

GVM & Greenbrier Manor

Kara received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Communication disorders with a minor in Psychology from Marshall University. She is currently in her clinical fellowship year working toward her certificate or clinical competence in Speech Language Pathology. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as shopping and decorating.

 

Debbie Rapp (PTA)

GVM & Greenbrier Manor

Debbie is a native of Renick, WV. She joined GVPT in 1974 and has over 29 years of experience as a physical therapy assistant in the inpatient, outpatient, and skilled nursing facilities. She was licensed as a PTA in West Virginia in 1977 and was ASI nationally certified in 1991. She was also received a North Carolina PTA license in 1992 and was certified in myofascial release in 2004. She enjoys traveling, arts and crafts, animal fiber workshops and fairs.

 

Lisa Burke (PTA)

GVPT

Lisa received her Associate Degree from the Physical Therapy Assistant program at Mountain State University in 2003 where she was valedictorian. Prior to her career in physical therapy, she served for four years in the US Navy. Lisa has worked at GVPT since July of 2003 in the outpatient department. Lisa is a native of Greenbrier County and currently resides in Maxwelton with her husband James. She enjoys biking, good books, and spending time with family and friends.

 

Morgan James (PTA)

GVPT

Morgan graduated from Washington State Community College in Marietta, Ohio in May of 2000 and received his PTA license in August of that year. He practiced cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation at Marietta Memorial Hospital for a year before moving to Columbus to practice physical therapy at Athletic Advantage Physical Therapy. Morgan moved to Lewisburg in August of 2003 to join GVPT. Before becoming a Physical Therapy Assistant, Morgan practiced massage therapy and fitness training in Columbus and Marietta. He received his Massage Therapy training from Ohio College of Massotherapy in Akron, Ohio and got his Ohio license in July of 1993. In his spare time Morgan enjoys whitewater kayaking, mountain biking, skiing, and snowboarding.

 

Mark Tincher (PTA)

GVPT

Mark graduated from Mountain State University with his PTA degree in May of 2005. He was hired at GVPT in July of that year. Mark moved to Hinton, WV in 2001 from Toledo, Ohio where he was born and raised. He attended Toledo University where he studied the fine arts and art history after high school. After moving to West Virginia, he became interested in physical therapy and enrolled at MSU where he graduated at the top of his class. He now resides in Frankford, WV with his wife Christina Tincher, who is an OTA and works in the Greenbrier County schools and the birth-to-three program. In June 2009 they had their first son Isaac Reid Tincher.

 

Emily Smailes (PTA)

GVM & Greenbrier Manor

Emily Smailes recieved her Associate Degree in Applied Sciences graduating from Mountain State University. Emily joined the staff of Greenbrier Valley Physical Therapy in 2009. Emily assists the physical therapists with all patient care and rehabilitation.

 

Bobbi Cole (PTA)

GVPT

Bobbi graduated from Mountain State University with an Associate Degree in Science from the Physical Therapist ssistant program in June 2003. She has 6 years experience working in various physical therapy settings such as outpatient clinics, hospitals, aquatic therapy, pulmonary rehab, and skilled care in nursing homes. She joined GVPT in October 2009. She was born and raised in Hinton, WV and now resides in Hilldale, WV with her husband Derek and 2 children Drake and Kaylee.

 

Heather Bolen (PTA)

GVMC

Heather graduated with an associate Degree from the Physical Therapy Assistant program at Mountain State University. She has been with GVPT since early 2006. She works at the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center and the Greenbrier Manor. She is interested in amputation rehab and Pilates/Core strengthening.

 

Laura Caldwell (PTA)

GVMC

A graduate of Marshall University with an Associates Degree in Physical Therapy, Laura has been a member of the Greenbrier Valley Physical Therapy team since 2007. She currently works at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center with a special interest in acute rehab.
 

Sue Armentrout (Physical Therapy Aide)

GVPT

Sue has been with GVPT since July 1996. Prior to that, she worked for McCue and Associates. She has more than 15 years working in the field of physical therapy. She has also worked at the Shenandoah Manor in the Restorative Department for seven years. She resides in Monroe County with her husband Virgil and enjoys cooking, gardening, crafts, and entering exhibits in the WV State Fair.

Angie Jackson (Receptionist)

GVPT

Angie is a native of Greenbrier County and resides in Fairlea, WV. She joined McCue and Associates in 1992 and GVPT in 1996. She attended Greenbrier Community College of Bluefield State College.
 

Cindy Evans (Insurance/Medical Billing)

GVPT

Angie is a native of Greenbrier County and resides in Fairlea, WV. She joined McCue and Associates in 1992 and GVPT in 1996. She attended Greenbrier Community College of Bluefield State College.
