Greenbrier Valley Physical Therapy's experienced staff offers a wide range of rehabilitative services, with an emphasis on outpatient orthopedics, sports injuries, work injuries, industrial injuries, aquatic therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Depending on the type of injury, most rehabilitation programs are exercise based, integrating a biomechanical analysis of the structures involved and principles of tissue healing.
We also provide all inpatient physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center. Additionally, we offer athletic training services to Greenbrier East High School and Eastern Greenbrier Middle School.
Meet Our Staff
Kevin, a West Virginia native, earned a BS in Education from Virginia Tech in 1985 and an MA in Health from Morehead State University prior to obtaining Master’s and Doctorate Degrees in Physical Therapy from Baylor University. In addition, Dr. Workman is board certified in Clinical Electrophysiology, (ECS), becoming one of the few physical therapists in the country with this distinction. Kevin’s professional experience includes active duty service in the U.S. Army at Fort Bragg, NC, from 1987 to 1992, where he participated in Operation Desert Storm and attained the rank of Captain. He served as Clinical Director of Morgantown Physical Therapy Associates prior to founding Greenbrier Valley Physical Therapy in Lewisburg, WV, in 1996. Kevin is a nationally certified athletic trainer and volunteers a significant portion of his time and resources to provide sports medicine services to area school and youth sports programs. Kevin and his wife, Pamela, have four sons.
James is a 1997 graduate of West Virginia University with a Master’s of Physical Therapy degree. He has been employed with Greenbrier Valley Physical Therapy since October 1997. During his time at GVPT, he has taken over 200 hours of continuing education on topics ranging from spine care, biomechanical analysis/orthotic fabrication, pain management, and work ergonomics. In 2012, he passed the Orthopedic Certification Specialty exam becoming one of the approximately 50 in the state of WV with that distinction. A native of Pocahontas County, he currently resides in Maxwelton with his wife and two children.
Bob Haas is a native of Renick and a graduate of Greenbrier East High School. Dr. Haas brings more than 28 years of experience in orthopedics and sports medicine to GVPT. Prior to obtaining his Doctorate of physical therapy degree, Bob served as director of sports medicine at GVPT, providing coverage and medical care to area sports programs. Bob formerly served as assistant athletic trainer for the Dallas Cowboys from 1994 to 2001. Bob served as a graduate assistant and obtained his Masters degree from UNLV from 1992 to 1994. He earned his BS degree in Athletic Training at WVU in 1992. Bob and his wife Emily, who is a secondary school special education teacher, have two children. Bob also continues to volunteer his time to provide care and game coverage to the local school athletic program. Dr. Haas sees patients at our Ronceverte and Hinton physical therapy clinics.
Travis received his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from West Virginia University in spring 2006 before completing 2 years of Master’s level work in Exercise Physiology while finishing up his Mountaineer football career (2002-2006). He earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine in 2011. The 2002 Greenbrier East graduate was excited to accept an offer to return home to Greenbrier County and join GVPT after completing his education at WVU. Travis is a member of the GVPT Sports Medicine staff and assists covering local middle school and high school athletic events. In 2013, he organized/founded the annual "Muscles for Miracles: 24hr Challenge for Hope," which raises funds to support local charities and families of those who may have had physical abilities stripped by disease or critical illness. When not in clinic, Travis enjoys helping local athletes and individuals meet their athletic, health, and fitness goals through personal training as owner of Mountaineer Performance, LLC. After his college football career, he spent 6 years bull riding professionally with the Southern Extreme Bull Riding Association and has represented the U.S. in international Irish Road Bowling competition twice (2010, 2015). He is a member of Lewisburg United Methodist Church, an avid adventure racer (Spartan Race, Tough Mudder, Warrior Dash), Crossfitter, and outdoor enthusiast.
Stephanie received her Bachelor of Arts degree and Master's of Occupational Therapy from West Virginia University. She has national certification with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. Stephanie specializes in hand therapy, but also sees patients who have suffered strokes and traumatic brain injuries as well as pediatric patients. Stephanie resides in Maxwelton with her husband, Travis, and their children, Gracie and Brayden. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and is active in her church.
Morgan Jones has been a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant since 2000. He attended Ohio State University for one year in 1991 before switching his career path to attend massage therapy school in Akron, Ohio. He practiced massage therapy from 1993 to 1997 before attending Washington State Community College in Marietta, Ohio, to earn his Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) degree and license. With his massage background, he specializes in soft tissue manual therapy techniques. He moved to West Virginia and has been employed at Greenbrier Valley Physical Therapy since 2003. In his spare time he enjoys mountain biking, trail running, white water sports, and snowboarding.
C. Mark Tincher was born and raised near Toledo, OH, and studied fine arts at The University of Toledo upon graduation from high school. In 2001, he moved to West Virginia where he was married. His wife works as an Occupational Therapist in the Greenbrier County school system. In 2005, Mark graduated from Mountain State University with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant. He enjoys running and spending time with his wife and two children, Isaac and Lily.
A native of Greenbrier County, Lisa returned to the area when she joined the GVPT outpatient team in 2003. After serving in the US Navy, Lisa pursued her interest in physical therapy and graduated from Mountain State University in 2003 with a Physical Therapist Assistant associate's degree. Lisa lives in Maxwelton with her husband, James, and their two lovely daughters, Mia and Ava. Besides spending time with her family, Lisa loves painting and photography and enjoys running, participating in local races and spending time fishing and biking.
Cindy Evans joined Greenbrier Valley Physical Therapy in 2003. As well as specializing in accounts receivable and billing, Cindy also manages our licensure as well as our electronic records. Cindy is a native of Ronceverte, WV. She graduated from Greenbrier East High School and attended Greenbrier Community College. Cindy enjoys boating, biking, camping, and other outdoor activities with her family.
